Hello all.  I just joined and am anxiously awaiting delivery of my Aero (3/15).  I've seen the infomercials and never paid much attention until I started changing my eating habits.  I eliminated all processed foods and have spent a heck of a lot more time at my local supermarket getting fresh veggies.  Getting the Aero just made sense to at least grow some of my salad fixings year round.  I've read quite a bit online about it and am especially interested in growing my own seeds eventually.

Have a great day!

Feb 1st 2007 i plated my 1st 2 gardens with their tomatoes and just started 5 others I got a couple weeks back.  It is not hard to use your won seeds. Buy a masters gardeners Deluxe kit from them and it is almost 2 easy.  Going to get use to these guys and start useing a my own Mircke Grow water solution.  i will let you know what mix works best.

Hi Maggie!

Congrats on your new eating habits! My wife and I have started looking into and implementing a fresh raw food diet, not raw meat of course Cheesy and surprisingly am quite enjoying it and have already noticed a difference. My wife dragged me to a seminar about 4 weeks ago and I was skeptical at first, but it really opened my eyes up to a lot of things. I didn't realise how much great food there are out there besides your typical everyday preservative filled food. The AeroGarden will be a great plus for you in this.

Welcome to the community! Grin

I love Veggies . Nothing better than a good steak with a great big salad on the side.  A hamburger stright off the grill with a huge slice of tomatoe on it.... Ahhh I am getting HUNGRY!!!!! I could never be a Vegitarian or vegan because I love the taste of meat to much.  But hey meat is unprocessed if when I butcher my own cow:) YUM!!!   My plants can not start giving me veggies soon enough!

I was never a big veggie eater, but since changing my eating habits in the last few months, I am developing a taste for lots of greens (and reds, and oranges, and yellows--oh my!).

Still waiting for Fed-Ex to deliver my Aero (it can't get here soon enough).  In the meanwhile, I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and they have it along with the seed pods.  I picked up the box, I put down the box, I read all sides of it, I picked up all the seed pods, almost bought one, then put it down, lol.  I get home and check every You-Tube video on it.  Is this the beginning of an obsession Huh.

Hello Maggie!
I'm waiting for my Aero too Sad
What model did you order?   I ordered the pro 200 and found out later that it's on back order.
I'm told it won't be in until the end of the month and I'm sooooo dissapointed.  I can't wait to start growing.

Hi Joyce!  It was a prize I picked out at work from an online catalog.  It didn't specify which model.  My guess is it's the original one.

Hope you get yours soon  Smiley.

It's here!!! It's here!!!  And yes---love, love, love package tracking.

It's all set up and ready to go.  Just registered the warranty and ordered, at a discount, the Mesclun Mix and Cherry Tomatoes, and an extra set of bulbs.  I will note my progress in the General Forum.

Cheers! Smiley

Mine has been shipped too!  It won't be here until Wednesday so I expect to have it up and running by Wednesday night.   If all goes well, I'll be eating fresh salad in about 4 weeks.

To keep myself busy while waiting I have been researching these systems.  I do think I could build my own for about $75 but I really like the look of aero.  I've seen many other systems and I really wouldn't want any of them sitting on my kitchen counter.

After I experiment with the Aero for a while, I may still try my hand at my own system because I've read a lot about LED lighting and I would like to experiment with that too.   But I may end up like some of you with several Aero's...  one for salad, one for herbs, tomatoes, and wouldn't fresh strawberries be wonderful?

He he...  I don't even have my first one yet and I've got all these plans.

Yay, Maggie!!!  Grin

Joyce, I love your thinking. Smiley Please share how you make out with those other ideas, if you pursue them? I'm very curious! I also looked into other aerohydroponic systems, but yes, they'd belong in the garage. After evicting the car... That said, I don't only grow in my Aerogarden... < She says, having taken ~75 seedlings out for their first spring hardening-outdoors today, and planted 4 hostas and 2 swiss chard, and...  Cheesy  >

I think I'm in greatest danger of buying another 3-Aero-wall-farm unit in, oh, about October. When I bought my first Aerogarden, in fact.  Grin

I've done the same, Joyce, researching on making my own aero-hydroponic system.  But I agree, as Gisette said, the designs belong in the garage  Cheesy.  So I'll probably be buying more too, for tomatoes, for lettuce, for flowers, for herbs....somebody stop me!!!!!  Shocked
