Some have given indoor hydrogrowing a reputation..not a good one either. Angry

the products are shipped "discretely"

... just try doing any research on hydroponics or AeroGardens and look at the high percentage of "marijuana grow" pages that come up.

I know the reason they said that. Illegal growers just love gh flora series and use them in their grows too. I found out that they buy gallon jugs or larger of the stuff. having it shipped to them can lead police to their grow operation.

That and the 50 trillion lumens of light streaming out of their windows.  Smiley

I'm amazed at all the YouTube videos of pot growing in AeroGardens.
Can't the authorities just subpoena YouTube and find the culprit?

I also noticed all of the YouTube videos growing weed in there aerogardens.  Since its against the law in the states, its a wonder they would post such videos.

Gives all of us a bit of a bad reputation.  Luckily, I'm nearly sure my mystery plant is indeed a pepper and not some wacky weed. LOL   Shocked Shocked

I have often laughed at the thought of all the light from my AG's attracting a swarm of DEA helicoptors!!

I have noticed that most of the weed growers have there gardens hidden in the closet.  So if they see all our lights, they will know we are using them legally.

I got 4 delivered to me not long ago, and I'm thinking of getting 2 more.  So, I'm sure they will come by my pad and look for lights.  Upon seeing them, will know I'm a veggie grower, and hopfully call off the swat team.  Smiley

LOL. You guys are so funny!

When I first discovered the plethora of information about hydroponics and growing weed, it shocked me and my husband guffawed at my naivety. Everywhere you look, people seem to be really open on the Net about what they are doing. It boggles the mind. I think if I had something like that going on, I would be rather secretive about it!

A nice supplier called me on the phone about an order I had placed that involved a big sack of perlite. He told me it would cost me more to ship than the perlite was worth. I kinda wondered at his tone ... now I think I know why he sounded the way he did.

I noticed the weed growers are big into having fans blow air around there plants.

Could our veggies and such, also benefit from this?

yes, the fans help strengthen the stems. It's a valid tip actually.

Most of the people I know who use pot know all the ins and outs of the laws, and they know how to stay on the misdemeanor side of things.  As for growing it, I don't know if that constitutes "intent to sell" or not.

I know I'd never risk it, and I certainly wouldn't broadcast it on YouTube.

I take from them the grow tips, and let them keep the illegal stuff. I prefer freedom to jail. They put you away down south for stuff like that.

Yeah, I knew a guy many years ago who grew it.  He had one of those little darkrooms that photographers install in their homes.
He had drawers and drawers of different seeds, labeled with the latin names.  He knew all the science regarding lights, nutrients, techniques.  He knew which breeds needed what.

I just remember thinking, what if this guy put this energy into something productive!?!

Oh i know, some of those growers could produce bumper crops of veggies and help an entire neighborhood with the gear and knowledge they collect.

Fans also aid in pollination of vegetables like tomatoes.

When I first started researching "hydroponic tomatoes" I was somewhat suprised, but not nearly as shocked and annoyed as I was when I googled "Can you grow blueberries in an AeroGarden". Holy crap. I actually wanted blueberries. Those guys do know what they're doing though. I admire the dedication, and technique.

PS I would lmfao if DEA raided my house.

I've seen a small blueberry you can keep in the house.  I believe it's call top hat.  Of course it's a soil plant.  I think I may have seen it on the Parks page.  I've been looking at it and wiondering if I should get it.  I LOVE blueberries Shocked  Sandi

Me too. I just planted a bush outside. But that's only good for the summer, and not for another year or more. My grandpa had one, but I never saw it fruit. Of course I never saw it watered either so...

I was looking at blueberries.  You need two different types for cross-pollination and apparently don't get berries until the third year.  I decided it wasn't for me.  Wink   Oh yes, you also need to make sure your soil is acidic.  (Reference: "http://www.veseys.com/ca/en/store/fruitsberries/blueberry")

I thought maybe the Top Hat type mentioned here might be different, but the 8th post on this GardenWeb thread says the same thing "http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/contain/msg1016174124209.html".  Well, they don't say anything about the three years, but the rest matches.
