So, I just finished my 1st grow season with the herbs kit. It was great and we harvested some really good herbs. I want to start a tomato, pepper and cilantro garden, but I dont want to pay for replacement seed pods. Can you post some different options for recycling old seed pods and tips? Thanks!

Save the baskets and pick up some General Hydroponics Rapid Rooters to plant more seeds. I have been using the Rapid Rooters without seed covers and bio domes. Everything comes up quickly and grows well.

Could I use the domes or would you recommend not using them?

domes are optional, I've grown with them, and without them and it worked both ways.

I've heard good things about the rapid rooters. If i ever run out of park seed plugs i will give them a try.

I do not recommend saving the pods.  They are very inexpensive to purchase from park seed or future garden (about 12 cents ea when shipped).  They harbor bacteria, and root growth, and are not worth the problems you may have to save them.  There are many other options for plugs than aerogarden, so I would say spend the few bucks to get new ones.
