Thanks for posting that - I probably should feed mine a bit more too!

Day 15 update
The plants seem to be doing well, but not as hardy as I'd like.
My meter is registering at 2.0-2.4 and I think it is a bit too strong, too early on,
so am going to cut it back a bit after posting.

From here they look good - but yes, it's a bit strong. (I still have mine below EC 1.0 which is probably too much the other way.

My Baby Blue Eyes rotted from the roots. Obviously not a plant compatible
with hydro growing. I replaced the pod with blue petunias. The seeds are pelleted.

Sorry about the baby blue eyes, but the petunias look really pretty.

Last week I upped the nutes mix and I am afraid,
after reading shane's post about his readings, I am downing the mix, fearful of burning my plants. I have already lost 1, but it was not burned, but water -soggy-rotted.
I was following Peat's chart and schedule, but obviously this is not the right thing to follow for these delicate plants. They do look good NOW, but up the road they may suffer, I'm afraid.
Here is the week's update in photo and you can see for yourself.

Sorry to hear about the Baby Blue Eyes. I was looking for additional seeds to round out my garden a bit so am glad that I didn't pick those up. If you have some left, they should be nice outside in the summer.
Your plants don't look burnt at all. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

Thanks for updating my info, bab.
As for burning, it is a preventative measure. The Liquid Nutes are very strong.
The tallest plants, the cornflowers, look like dandelion leaves!
I
sure hope the flowers are prettier!

Weekly update!
DAY 38 Liquid mix at 1.5 -1- .5
Here is the Texas Blue Bonnet..doing very well ! A very sturdy plant.
These are the forget me nots
The Blue Lobelia..there are 2 pods of these
and last, the Cornflower. I am considering replacing one pod of the 2 with
another Texas Blue Bonnet. The cornflower has a pretty flower, but the green leaves remind me of dandelions..so weed-y and wild looking.
All are growing nicely and I am keeping the nutrient mix at a mild 1.5 - 1 - .5
OK. ~~~That's all she Wrote~~ for the update.

Everything's nice and green - looks like it's growing well.
I'm just starting liquid nutrients and so am not really familiar with your numbers. My 'mild growth' measurement is EC 1.3, which is probably a bit high for germination.
Your lobelia leaves are larger than the type I'm growing (or mine might be too crowded
).

re: lobelia..I overcrowded mine, bab, but I just left it so.
I dabbed the moist pod over the seed paper. I also have
another batch growing in the snaps/asyllium machine.

This is one of my Lobelia pods with the red pencil pointing out the
first bud .
Now why do I get the feeling that these flowers are going to
be white or yellow and not blue??!!

Mine look like that too Corinne, a pale yellow color. There's no blue until they start to open.
Good - they'll be blooming any time now!
