Corinne, you've given me some luck!

Another viola seed is sprouting in the first pod.  Nothing in the other pod yet but the package says germination starts in 10 days - that's still four days away.  Cheesy

A blossom of my Assylium opened today.
It is a very simple and delicate looking flower. I like it.
However, since it is a white flower, supposed to be for contrast in the BLUE garden, and the first one to grow,
I put it in the Snaps Garden and replaced the pod in the blue garden with another blue Lobelia so all may grow together..
Too bad there is not a blue assylium..I may just search around!

woo i spied blooms on my alyssum the same day!  i have been a tad neglectful so they may have been there a day or two already, but i found them on saturday, march 6.  i will send in an update for the chart when i get home from work.

here is my tiny little alyssum, wonderland blue, which is looking more pink/purple unfortunately =/  i knew it was not a real true blue, but i thought it would be bluer than this heh.

My first flower in the 'blue' garden!  Smiley

Although it looks blue in the picture, in real life the flower is purple-blue.  As the bloom gets bigger, the purple is less evident, but it's still not the navy blue in the descriptions of the plant.  Wink

I was hasty in posting that the lobelia is not blue.  As it grows, the purple hue disappears and the flower becomes a dark blue.  I'm still having problems getting the right colors - it's still a bit darker than it shows up here; the earlier pictures were also too light.  It's a small flower, less than an inch in width.

In my GLOG I was encouraged to have fun with this garden, so I decided to remove one of the Blue Mink pods and try some 'Gentian Blue' Dwarf Larkspur "http://www.lavieenrosegardens.com/product/dwarf-larkspur-gentian-blue-annual".  The Blue Mink is in a glass of water in case these seeds or one of the others don't work out.  Smiley

I am so envious at you all! I am thinking I should up my mix now to boost blooms.
I walk in the room, take a look and I sound like the Burger King
Commercial from years back..you know,
the old lady asking "Where's the Beef (BLUE)".

But I will just bide my time and be patient, I guess..

Blue Oooh's & Aaahhhh's to you both! Pretty!

I was expecting yours to bloom soon too.  Sad

I did up the nutrients about a week ago, but because I have so many late pods in the garden, in my case it was extra growth they got.  I guess that's what caused the lobelia to sprout up so quickly.

I'm hoping you see your blooms in no time too.  Undecided
