The first blooms have opened completely.  There are three or four other buds in different stages of developmemt.

Shocked   Amazing!  I would definitely tell AG that you are having success with this kit; so many,
including myself Zinged it through emails and calls to Customer Service.  I am wondering if you got one of the
perfected kits?!  (you could say I am looking for a reason for my failure with this flower
by wondering that)  But I would definitely let CS know about your success, Bobbie.

While my lavender garden isn't as neat or profuse as the ones in the AG catalog, there are always flowers in different stages of development.  The greenery itself is intricate and pretty.  What's more, the garden does have a lovely, delicate scent.  I notice it when I first walk into my cubicle in the morning.

thanks for the update and eye candy, bobbie. Your plants are doing much better than mine did. I envy your green thumb.  I see several more Lav buds forming too.
A good project.

It's interesting how it develops.  Parts of the plants look really compact, and then there are some longer branches.

Congratulations on a successful grow!  Smiley

Really nice Bobbie!

Im gonna attach pics of the Lobelia I'm doing.  Same kind of growth pattern.  Trailing plants....what variety of Lav is that?

PS  Hot pink zinnia left back, basil back right and daisy that is very very very slow front right

I love the different "builds" of the plants in your garden.  I've grown lobelia in my window boxes outside--it does seem to be a trailing plant.  The lavender I've had outside has been stiffer and more erect.  I'm not sure what variety this it--it's the Lots of Lavender kit from AG.

The lavender, alas, has passed its prime, so I retired that garden today.  About a week ago, I came into work, and nearly half the stalks were dried up--even though there was plenty of water in the garden.  Most of the remainder looked straggly, and none looked close to producing buds.  I think its time had come.

It never produced a whole lot of flowers, but it certainly did smell good.  One could sense the scent just walking into my little cubicle.  Still, I probably won't grow that kit again.  when it comes to flowers, I loke lots of color.  I only bought it because it was part fo a package, and I wanted everything else in it.

I like to try different things too but there are certainly some I wouldn't grow again unless it were part of a kit.  You had good success with it though - the scent must have been nice.

I see you've planted another one for the office - I'm looking forward to it!  Smiley

I love the lavender scent and am glad you got enjoyment in your workspace, Bobbie. I know you are a person who loves brightly colored flowers.  I am anxious to see the next flower project.
What are you growing next in the freed up machine ?
