Normally $79.95, Amazon is selling Prepara Power Plant Professional for $34.92 with free shipping.

http://www.amazon.com/Prepara-PPL1-PP201-Power-Plant-Professional/dp/B001AXY6KG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1245983720&sr=8-1

They don't come with a light, but I've been wanting to try this for awhile, so I ordered one for my new bookshelf garden.

I saw they are offering the grow light and the unit together for 60 dollars. I look forward to hearing more about your experiences with it.

I think I have enough gardens now.  I have a couple lamps I want to use to try some dirt gardening next winter, so I'll see how that goes before I spend anymore money on hydroponics.

I just started the Prepara Pro a couple days ago with 4 pods of lettuce and 2 pods of mini bell peppers.  Three of the four lettuce pods have already sprouted.

So far I like it and have it sitting between the 2 AGs on my dining room table for the light.  I plan to move it to my bookshelf garden once I order another grow light.

I was startled the first time the machine rotated the plants.  But other than that, it is very quiet, which I like.  And I also like the little "trellises" that you can pull up on each pod to help support the plant if it needs it.  They're not very tall, but if a plant is leaning, that should help.  The one thing I do not like is that you add water or nutrient by pouring it over the grow surface -- that's kind of messy and leaves spots all over it.

I just ordered a couple of Preparas, got a special for the deluxe kit + light for $60 and no rape fee shipping to Alaska.  I was curious how your garden turned out?
