Wow, you must be a tea connoisseur.  Thanks for posting the how-to.

Here's what I do (guess I'm lazy).  Snip some mint leaves, throw them in the bottom of a glass mug, fill with water, microwave for 1.5 minutes, take out, rest spoon on leaves to keep them at the bottom, let steep an additional 3 minutes.  Remove leaves.  Add a little honey and stir.  Drink my tea.

I think I like your system better.  I'll have to try it.

Your plants are really pretty.

      Moontiger,
It really is all about enjoyment.   My real passion is single origin coffees.  Due to my high blood pressure, my doctor suggested I limit my caffeine intake and basically reboot my lifestyle.  Years ago, I had the high tea ritual banged into my head by a couple of my British relatives.  Decaf coffee is a sacrilege so when my doctor suggested caffeine reduction a few years ago, I went back to herbal teas.  I drink hot beverages pretty much all day so this was a fairly easy switch for me.  I went from a 2 pot a day coffee drinker to a 2 cup a day coffee drinker.  Handcrafted tea is a real time consumer, so I don't do the full process every day.   I admit, frequently a quick water boil and basic tea bag can be a great alternative.  You can find great teas now even in the supermarket.   I stumbled across some great buys on amazon as well.  As long as you avoid the high end organic white tea loose leaves, its a reasonable ritual.

Grin  Dave, I agree with you about decaf coffee (horror of horrors) -- I love my gourmet coffees, and I drink at least a pot a day, sometimes more.  But I like my tea as well.  I also drink hot drinks all day -- I've never been into the soda pop routine like most of my friends.

Thanks for posting the tea ritual.  I need to find my infuser, because I'm definitely going to try it.
