I planted the lavender kit in the other AG3 kit that I cleaned out today. Pictures when I have sprouts. Good thing that they take a couple of days to sprout because PhotoBucket is not happy with my bandwidth right now and has axed all of my pics until the 24th.

I think I figured out that problem. I've never had an issue with bandwidth before I started posting some of my bento pics on a bento website. Didn't realize I'd get so many hits on those and they were coming from Japan and all over the place! I've removed the posts from that site so that I don't have a problem here next month. I'd much rather have them here. The bentos were just an experiment for fun. Live and learn. LOL!   Grin

According to the email from PhotoBucket, everything should be back to normal on the 24th. I refuse to pay the $39.95 they are asking for unlimited bandwidth when I just paid off all my credit cards.   Smiley

Thanks Kim Marie! I was pretty proud to do that. It's been my little side project in the works for about the past year.

I have an account with google (free) and use picasca for my photos. No issues. Just another option.

Thanks for that info Cynthia. I may try that going forward (I am exploring some other options). I'm thinking that removing myself from the other site will probably fix it though. There were just too many hits on it.

I am a little cautious on this one as I did not have a good experience with the last.   Sad

I'll get something up for sure as soon as it's worth it.   Cheesy

This lavender kit is doing much better than the last one did. The sprouts are much stronger than the last ones. Maybe it was too cold the last time I tried to grow it or maybe I had a dud kit. They were just fed and water topped off tonight.

I am so pleased this time around with this kit. Here is this week's update. I think my problem the last time was taking the domes off of the seedlings too quickly and the lights fried them. I left the domes on as long as possible this time and they are doing MUCH better. That would be my recommendation. Even if the seedlings are touching the domes, as long as they are not crowded in them, resist the temptation to remove them if the plants are still looking puny.

Thanks ladies!

Erin, I think due to the smaller bowl size with the AG3, there is a significant amount of bubbling going on in a small space. Due to that, there is some water that evaporates through and when it dries, the nutrient content dries on the lid and/or bowl. It does not affect the plants.

Ah, I gotcha. I have some white crusty stuff on my black AG, too. Must be the same stuff.

Yes, the same happens with my Classics and Deluxe, just in different places. The AG's are not completely airtight, so when thigs bubble stuff gets out through the cracks.   Smiley

I like my Classics and Deluxe better than the AG3's for that reason. They're a little better at hiding that. For anyone growing in an AG 7 pod model keep an eye on that in relation to the pump arm. This can corrode the pump contacts and make the pump inoperable.

Here is this week's look at the lavender. I am so much more encouraged by the way these look than the last time I tried to grow them. Much stronger and healthier. Please pardon the dust. Housekeeping tomorrow.   Smiley Smiley Smiley
