that's what my herb garden would be like in August hopefully....Your mint is really big. Sometimes I throw them in the blender when making smoothies
Ellen mentioned mojitos to use mint. So I researched every mojito recipe I could find using Google. I even ordered a real muddler from Amazon.com to do it right. I now have Bacardi white rum, simple syrup, and club soda to do the deed on a grand scale! I did do a preliminary test run while the mint was still small. Wonderful! Now that the mint is coming into real lush growth I am ready to go forth and MOJITO! (In honor of Kentucky Derby day we should respectfully mention Mint Juleps as well. I haven't tried them yet but I'm getting ready to.)

Boy.. Mint Juleps... I had never had a Mint Julep until I worked my first Kentucky Derby. Its been several years now, but I worked hard all day at Churchill Downs (I work for the Wagering/Tote vendor) and was looking forward to a nice cold Mint Julep at the bar at the end of the races... oh man.. Those things are HORRIBLE! What a waste of perfectly good whiskey. I saw people buying them at Churchill this weekend in solid silver cups with gold straws.
